Just like a visit to KL will not be complete without visiting the Petaling Street, a trip to Singapore would not be complete without visiting the Chinatown of Singapore too. As compared to the Chinatown of KL, you will see a stark difference here. Here, there is mature citizens everywhere you looked instead of the youngster plying the streets of Chee Cheong Kai.



A visit to Chinatown will not be complete without visiting the Hong Lin Food Centre.
Pretty typical hawker fare, IMHO, but well. we just gotta taste it.

not bad, but I find the coconut milk taste to be quite strong, would prefer a milder version

Prawn Mee S$3.50

In contrast, this version is really mild. More to clear soup type.

Conclusion = Malaysian food is much better

Kuan and Fen with their drinks in clear plastic glasses. You don't see this being used in Kl too.

When in Chinatown, you shop for souvenirs to bring back home to your friends & family.

We went to the Buddha Tooth Relic temple there. Actually just wanna use the toilet but end up visiting the whole place (my 3rd visit).

Spin it around and make your wish!

We happened to go into this shop and made some interesting discovery there.

Miniature branded fragrances, which are not supposed to be sold. But somehow they got the stock.

Trial version of cosmetic and skincare

Perfect discovery for poor people like us who can only afford to pay less but still want to indulge in luxury products. I got a few tiny ones for Moi too. Hehe~
